The NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) and the NYS Department of Health (DOH) are pleased to announce a webinar on Thursday, July 16th at 10 AM to discuss $50 million in available grant funding to local governments this year for critical drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects through Governor Cuomo’s NYS Water Grants Program.
The webinar will describe project eligibility, the application process and criteria for selection for the NYS Water Grant program, and provide an opportunity to ask questions about your potential projects. To register, click here.
The $50 million in funding is part of $200 million in grants authorized through the New York State Water Infrastructure Improvement Act over the next three state fiscal years to fund municipal wastewater and drinking water projects for the repair or replacement of infrastructure, as well as compliance with environmental and public health laws and regulations related to water quality.
For State Fiscal Year 2015-2016, $30 million in grant funding will be available for clean water (wastewater) projects and $20 million for drinking water projects.
Complete applications must be submitted to NYSWaterGrants@efc.ny.gov no later than the close of business on Friday, September 4, 2015 .
