The State Circuit Rider Program is funded by the NYS Dept. of Health and provides on-site technical assistance and training to water systems, which have been identified by the NYS Dept. of Health as being in need of capacity development. Capacity development assistance can include managerial, financial or operational issues.
State Circuit Riders provide hands-on assistance to water systems regarding water treatment issues, sampling and testing, equipment repair, operational reporting and distribution system assistance such as pipe locating, leak detection, valve exercising, hydrant flushing and flow testing.
The State Circuit Rider Program also provides training sessions, which are provided to operators free of charge.
