After 39.98 years of dedicated service to the Mohawk Valley Water Authority, Connie Schreppel has decided to retire. Connie has overseen numerous improvements and upgrades in her career and will be leaving a legacy that will be hard to match. Connie has been a friend to Rural Water, assisting numerous staff members with input and direction while sitting on various operational committees. Connie also was a founding member and Co-Chair of the NYWARN (New York Water & Wastewater Agency Response Network). Her input and guidance have helped promote the startup and growth of this invaluable mutual aid network. We here at the NYRWA wish Connie all the best as she enters this next phase in her life….thank you for everything Connie!
After 40+ years Wayne Cardy from the Village of Westfield will soon be retiring. Wayne has served as Chief Water Operator and has overseen vast improvements to the plant over the course of his career. Wayne has been a fixture at our conferences over the years, always willing to help, share a story, or just give his glowing smile on his way to class. As our association has grown we have reached out to Wayne several times to “pilot a program”, or to give input in one area or another. Wayne has been a true friend to the NYRWA, and we wish him a happy and healthy retirement!
Both Connie and Wayne deserve our gratitude, and we thank you both for a job exceptionally well done!!!
