As most of you already know, PFOA & PFOS and Dioxane has had a serious impact on many drinking water systems in New York. These same contaminants have recently caught the attention of the DEC. They are starting to focus on PFOA, PFOS and Dioxane levels in our effluent and receiving waters. Sources may include but are not limited to; landfill supernatant and drinking water.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A plastics company in upstate New York agreed to pay $23.5 million to settle a class-action lawsuit claiming it knowingly polluted well water with a toxic chemical.
USDA announces $272M for rural water
The funds will support 114 projects through USDA's Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program, to improve rural water infrastructure for 270,000 people in rural communities.
