EPA Watershed Academy Webinar

EPA’s Watershed Academy will conduct a webinar entitled, “Understanding Nutrient Issues Affecting Ohio’s Inland Lakes,” on Wednesday, November 30 at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (eastern).  The webinar will present information on the evolution of Ohio’s efforts to protect and restore inland lakes from nutrient related impairments through the strategic collection and use of data along with engagement of appropriate watershed stakeholders.

Good Information from Lead Poisoning Prevention Week

For Lead Poisoning Prevention Week Oct. 23 to 29, Aqua America shared tips on how to minimize exposure to lead in drinking water. The movement intends to educate the public about the importance of detecting lead in drinking water. The company wants customers to be informed about the health risks of lead exposure and understand how they can ensure their drinking water is safe.

Deadline for Water Fluoridation Equipment Grants: Nov 4, 2016

The deadline for Round 2 of the Drinking Water Fluoridation Fund is approaching fast.  The funding opportunities from the NYS Department of Health support costs related to the construction, installation, repair, replacement, or upgrade of fluoride equipment in drinking water facilities. Both opportunities are now posted on the NYS Grants Gateway.
