American Society of Civil Engineers and Value of Water Campaign report finds that as infrastructure deteriorates and service disruptions increase, annual costs to American households will be seven times higher in 20 years than they are now.
The NYS Department of Health has released an important Q&A document concerning the new maximum contaminant levels for Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), and 1,4 Dioxane.
As many of you know, each year the New York Rural Water Association distributes one-time grants to five students across New York State valued at $500.00 each to help defray the cost of tuition, books, or room and board at an accredited institution of higher learning approved by the NYRWA.
A panel of wastewater and public health experts has determined that occupational risk of COVID-19 infection for wastewater workers is low. The panel also found that standard wastewater treatment processes inactivate the virus and additional research should be conducted to further increase understanding of hazards and protections for personnel.
